fort van Eben emael
Rue du Fort 40, 4690 Eben-Emael, België
Our 1935 townhouse is located in Eben-Emael, an authentic Belgian village in the Voer region, just across the border south of Maastricht. Here, you are situated right in the green Jeker Valley, offering peace and quiet with views of the meadows, while simultaneously being a short distance from three countries. This makes our B&B an ideal base: cycling through the hills in the morning, heading into the city in the afternoon.
Everything within reach
You can reach the city in no time from our front door. The distances are short:
Maastricht – approximately 7 km, 10 to 15 minutes by car. The historic center, the shops, and the Vrijthof are just around the corner.
Valkenburg – about a 25-minute drive. Known for the marl caves, the castle, and, in winter, the Christmas markets in the caves.
Liège – about 30 minutes. A bustling city with the famous steps of the Montagne de Bueren, the Sunday market La Batte, and many good restaurants.
Aachen – about 30 minutes across the border in Germany. The cathedral, the thermal baths, and the historic city center are well worth a day trip.
This way, you can easily combine the tranquility of the countryside with a day of city life, culture, or shopping, each time in a different country.
Cycling and hiking through the Voer region
The Voer region is one of the most beautiful cycling and hiking areas in the region. Various routes depart from our B&B that you can pick up right away. We are happy to reserve electric bikes for you at our bike rental company, Souvereyns-fietsen in Riemst. The rental fee is €30 per bike per day. If you are heading out for the day, feel free to ask us for a packed lunch. We will have it ready for you after breakfast.
